Manuwai's interesting maths.

Here is some work that I did last term and that I didn't get to share with you. It was interesting for me to go back and see what I was working on.

Term 1, Week 7


WAL: our two times tables.


A camp ground has 3 cabins which can sleep 2 people in each cabin. How many people can stay in the cabins?

3x2=6 or 2x3=6 or 2+2+2=6


Kosini cooked eggs for his family. There were 4 people in the family and each person had 2 eggs. How many eggs did Kosini cook?

Richard bought two bags of potatoes. There were eight potatoes in each bag. How many potatoes did he buy?

My Basic Facts - “Doubles”
Write down all the doubles basic facts to 20 (I have done the first ones for you).
0 + 0 = 0
1 + 1 = 2
2 + 2 = 4


My Basic Facts - “Numbers that make 10”
Write down all the numbers that add together to make 10.
10 + 0 = 10
0 + 10 = 10
9 + 1 = 10
1 + 9 = 10
8 + 2 = 10


My Basic Facts - “Doubles and 2 times tables”
Write down all the doubles to 20 and the 2 times table that goes with it.
1 + 1 = 2
2 x 1 = 2
2 + 2 = 4
2 x 2 = 4
3 + 3 = 6
2 x 3 = 6
4 + 4 =8
2 x 4 =8
